Eat the cake....

This week it was my birthday

It was a lovely quiet one that mainly involved a tiara and pink, princess cake (you can tell we have a 3 year old girl )

Knowing that I can eat and enjoy pink birthday cake and not beat myself up about it is something I never take for granted!

That might sound silly to some people but disordered eating and eating disorders are so much more common than you think.

It is so much harder to have a healthy relationship with food than it is to have an unhealthy one.

Ever skipped lunch because your going out for a meal??

Ever planned in extra workouts because you've been out over the weekend??

Ever been cross and angry with yourself for eating something you "shouldn't"??

If you have then you are not on your own.

But just so you know....one meal will not make you unhealthy, just like one meal will not make you healthy either!

Being consistent over all is what counts.

Making healthy choices for your body and your mind

Food is fuel for the body but we are allowed to enjoy it too. Its social, its emotional, its for celebrating and spending time with loved ones. It's a huge part of our lives so having a healthy mindset in relation to what we eat is something I think is so important!
