Breaking the habit...

So much of what we do in life is based on habits.

Some of these are good for our mental and physical health and some not as much.

But the ones that aren't as good for us can be changed into ones that are so much more beneficial!

Examples...

- Reaching for the biscuits (or other high sugar/low nutritional snacks)

- Feeling tired and not wanting to get up in a morning.

Both breakable habits by changing what we do slightly.

- Choose a healthier snack to have in instead.

If you need to have them in for other people in the house this will be trickier but if you said you weren't buying biscuits in for a week to help you break a habit, then no one of going to suffer too much!

I mean if your trying to break the habit as its not good for YOU then more than likely its not going to do anyone else any harm either 🤷🏼‍♀️

- Make the effort to go bed half an hour earlier. Come off screens before bed in order to help get to sleep better and set yourself a task to get up for in a morning. Even if it's just to have a coffee on your own before everyone else gets up. Then build on that to make your time more productive. Maybe do a quick workout to get you going for the day, it doesn't need to be a full gym session just 10/15mins of some body weight stuff to get you going feels awesome!

Breaking habits is a lot easier if you look at what you want to change and come with a plan to do it rather than going cold turkey.

Also try focusing on one at a time rather than trying to change a lot in one go.

If you want to change your snacking habits, get up earlier, drink more water and get more physical activities in each week. Take it in turns to focus on each one instead of all at the same time.

Making small changes is easy, sets us up to achieve what we want to do and means we are much more likely to keep the habits going forward.
